Emily Neil, LPC
outpatient therapist
As a licensed professional counselor with a degree in Art Therapy from Drexel University, I believe that creative expression is a key that unlocks our deepest thoughts and feelings, instills hope, and inspires healing and growth. I take a client centered approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients by integrating art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused concepts.
I specialize in working with children 8+, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, and LGBTQ+ support. With extensive experience in school settings, I have worked closely with children and adolescents navigating behavioral challenges, academic stress, and emotional regulation both at school and at home. In turn, I also have experience in supporting parents and families during difficult seasons.
My therapeutic style emphasizes the use of play, creativity, problem-solving, and nonjudgmental validation to help clients explore and manage their emotions. I hope to help cultivate self-love as a tool for my clients to navigate life’s challenges, empowering them to move forward with confidence and clarity.
